General Remarks
These are lacquers containing acrylic, designed as carriers for inorganic pigments and glass powder. The transfer coatings are applied to ceramics parts (tiles, glasses, crockery). The film is then depolymerized during firing of the ceramics parts, at temperatures up to 1200 °C. The inorganic pigments are subsequently melted onto the substrate by means of melting glass powder and thus become fused with the substrate. This process is also termed glazing.
